My doctor told me the mass shrink to at least half the size. The beads stay where they are placed. The beads are 60 times larger than blood, so they will not travel and cause problems to other organs.
The mass will slowly shrink abd the beads stay forever. Atleast that’s with the ones my dr uses. I was worried they were plastic. He said more of gelitin. I’m waiting for a surgery date. I can not wait to do this procedure. I bleed so much that I have to do monthly iron infusions. MONTHLY

I got 6 fibroids now and 1 of them is around 8cm . Do you think I'm good to go for this treatment?
Esther, The average size of fibroids that we treat with the embolization procedure is about 7cm. Your 8cm fibroid would certainly not be too large for the UFE. Best, FTC
